On 23rd June, 2018, Mwangaza Trust took part in the A.G.M. and strategic plan launch of Ontulili Association in Umande Ward, Laikipia County. The event was graced by Mwangaza Trust Chairman and Ontulili Association Patron, Mr. Lee Karuri.
The event attracted over 300 men, women and youth from the Umande region. Among the guests was Laikipia County CEC trade, tourism and cooperatives Mr. Nicholas Biwott Tirop, and Nanyuki Ward MCA Ms. Veronica Muthoni Kinyua among others.
The purpose of Ontulili Association is to harness community cooperation in sustainable development in the Ontulili Region which covers Umande Ward, Part of Nanyuki Ward and Part of Segera ward. Some of the areas to be addressed in the community include; health, water, education, economic empowerment among others. This event also saw the appointment of new leaders that will spearhead the implementation of the strategic plan.
